With full security in place by defining access rights of users, the documents can be managed in its native storage, file systems and cloud based storage systems like Google Drive and Dropbox. Data is extracted from documents by defining simple rules for every pattern that need to be extracted. The system automatically identifies the document and applies the right rules to the document to extract the data and integrates it to any destination system.

FAQ :: Document Data Extractor

How can I test the module for my organization's documents? 
The fastest way would be to send us a sample of each document that you wish to extract data from and we will add the extraction rules to demonstrate the system. Only you will have access to the demo system.  Contact us. 

Is there an evaluation version available?
Yes. Integrated with Enterprise Contact Manager, we have a full featured demo instance of the extraction module with sample documents from Airlines and eCommerce sites. It also have Google Drive integrated with it with more sample documents for extraction. Please contact us to get access to it. 

Can the file access be defined for users within built-in Document Management System?
Since the extraction module is integrated with Contact Manager, the user management functionality of the latter are used to control file access. Unlimited users can be created and clustered into groups. These groups or selected users can be given permissions to access files in a specific folders in DMS. These permissions can be read-only,  read & add comments, add new files or full access. 

Can you extract data from Microsoft Office documents? 
Yes. The data can be extracted from Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint files. If there is another format that you wish to extract data from, let us know and we will attempt to integrate it within the system. 

How do I implement the module within my organization? 
The entire implementation will done by us. This includes setting up your environment, configuring sources of files (Dropbox, Google Drive or your own network server) and creation of rules for extraction. If integration to an API-based or Legacy system is required then that too will be done by us. Once you have taken the decision to deploy Data Extractor, a call between our implementation team and you is the next step. After the implementation is complete and you are satisfied, we handover the control to you.
